Blanca Estela Aguirre, age 75, Originally from Guatemala City, Guatemala, came to the United States in the early 1970’s. Like many, she came to pursue her dreams. She dedicated herself to building a family and after many years of dedication to the community, she eventually established herself as an entrepreneur. Seeing the need of a culture and creating Tikal Enterprises.
It would go on to be a financial services giant and would also be the main institution for Latinos to provide financial stability for their families. Her efforts helped pave the way for many Latino families to enter the Plainfield Area and feel confident enough that they could not just survive but also thrive themselves. Tikal Enterprises would become a blueprint for many financial service businesses to come to the area. Her dreams, her passions, and most importantly, her legacy, live on everyday because she saw an opportunity when others did not. Her decision to create Tikal Enterprises changed the lives of so many and can still be seen throughout the community.
