Barbara (Miller) Wernock

Barbara Wernock, 84 of Piscataway, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough.

Barbara was born in Bayonne, NJ to Marryanna and Raymond Miller on March 25, 1939. She went to Bayonne High School. She married the love of her life, Thaddeus Wernock on May 21, 1961 in Bayonne. Barbara graduated from Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing in 1960. She worked as a registered nurse for Green Brook Manor Nursing Home. She was involved with the Civil Air Patrol when she was in high school.

Barbara is preceded in death by husband and love of her life Thaddeus and by her parents, Marryanna and Raymond Miller.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Alison Szabo and her husband Gary.

The family of Barbara Wernock wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset in Somerville and Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough for the amazing care that they gave her.

A joint visitation with her husband Ted will be held on Monday, December 11 from 4:00-6:00pm. A funeral mass for both will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 10:00am at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway. Cremation will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Barbara`s name to either St. Judes Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org or Make A Wish Foundation at Wish.org.
