Angela (Caputo) Luino

Angela Luino, 95 of East Brunswick NJ was born July 22, 1928, in Brooklyn NY to the late Francesco and Francesca (nee Scalisi) Caputo and passed away peacefully on October 31, 2023 of natural causes.

Angela was the devoted wife to Joseph Luino, who predeceased her in 1991. They were married for 43 years. She was the loving mother of Ronald (Antoinette) Luino, Theresa (Stanley) Palka, Joseph (Debra) Luino and Marc (Antonia) Luino.   She was a proud and doting grandmother (Nanny) to Joseph, Nicole, Angela, Christopher, Fallon, Marc, Matthew and Marc and great grandmother to Savannah, Emma, Joseph, Adam and Alexander.

She worked in NYC for many years as an executive secretary for Citibank. After retiring she kept herself busy by working a few days a week as a sample server for Pathmark preparing and cooking food for shoppers to sample. She would routinely cook and bake for her neighbors, the friends she made in her bank and even sometimes for the local police. Her cheesecake and coffee cake were legendary. 

Angela was quick-witted and had a great sense of humor.  She loved cooking for her family especially during the holidays, which for many years she insisted be held in her house.  She loved company and had many friends, most of whom were much younger than her, which kept her young at heart. 

Visitation services will be held Monday evening, November 6 between the hours of 6-9 at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, NJ.  A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, 10AM at St John’s RC Church, 317 First Street, Dunellen, NJ
