Alfred Francis Urenovich
Alfred F. Urenovich passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2022 at his home in Palm Bay, FL after a long illness. Al was born on June 8, 1934 to the late Alice (Welsh) and Alfred Urenovich in Freeland, PA. He came to New Jersey after high school and lived in Dunellen for more than 40 years before relocating back to Pennsylvania in 1993. Most of Al’s career was spent at National Starch in Plainfield and Bridgewater, retiring in 1993. During retirement, Al enjoyed traveling with Barbara, driving his Winnebago across the United States and Canada. Al was an avid bowler attaining an average of 256 in his weekly league, loved the game of golf and was the ultimate handy man who helped everyone. What brought Al the most joy was spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Al was pre-deceased by his first wife of 34 years, Pat, his brother, Thomas, his sister, Kathryn, and step-grandson, Devon. Al is survived by his brother, Donald, his current wife, Barbara, his daughters Patricia Hughes (William) and Marcella Mascola (Edward) and grandson, Will Hughes. In addition, Al is also survived by his extended family, Kym Papera (Kevin), Dina O’Rourke (Brian), Cheryl Clayton (Tim), Kenneth Reedel (Kathleen), Keith Reedel, Christopher Reedel and their children, Connor Papera, Christian Papera, Kyle O’Rourke, Colin O’Rourke, Paris Stringfellow, Cameron Farquhar, Adam Farquhar, Elizabeth Sampers, Dustin Reedel, Tyler Reedel, Caprice Reedel, Robert Reedel, Robyn Reedel, Nathan Reedel, Brandon Reedel, 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are by Sheenan’s Funeral Home. The family has requested that services be private.
