Michael J Duggan

Michael J Duggan, 72 of Green Brook, passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Michael F. and Mary (Renahan) Duggan.

Michael served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War Era. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 0471 of Iselin. He was a communicant of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen and was a 3rd Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. He worked for the Township of Woodbridge, retiring after 44 years as Principal Engineer. Michael was an avid gardener, growing both flowers and vegetables. He also loved working on his 1956 Chevy Bel Air, which was his pride and joy. He also loved camping and being outdoors. His greatest joy came from being with his family, especially his 5 grand kids, after retirement.

Michael is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Donna (Witt). He is also survived by his 2 loving sons, Michael and his wife Michelle of Dunellen, and Brian and his wife Tara of Dunellen. He is also survived by his 5 cherished grandchildren: Julia, Owen, Adam, Molly and Colin as well as by numerous in laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 30 at 10:30am at St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen. All other services are private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael’s name to: St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church, 317 1st St. Dunellen, NJ 08812
