Martha A (Gardziel) Cunningham

Martha A Cunningham, 82, of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017 at haven Hospice in Edison with her loving family by her side. Born in Bound Brook, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary (Simo) Gardziel.

Martha lived in Bound Brook most of her life, having moved to Dunellen just a few years ago. She was the head cashier at Union Ave Pharmacy in Bound Brook, retiring in 2005. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bound Brook for many years, and had recently become a member of St. John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen, and was a member of the Dunellen Seniors. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Martha was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph in 2002. She is survived by her loving daughter Mary Deegan and husband Matthew of Dunellen, her 2 cherished grandchildren Jillian and Kerry and her adored great-grandson Dalton. She is also survived by her brother William Gardziel Jr of South Bound Brook, and by her sister Georgia Wright and her husband Ron of Bound Brook.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday July 5 from 2:00-4:00 and from 7:00-9:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A mass will be celebrated on Thursday July 6 at 9:30AM at St. Marys Church, Bound Brook . Burial will follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park in Basking Ridge.
