Marie Anne (Mollenhauer) Allen

Marie A. Allen, 84, passed away at Bloom of Hilton Head, on Monday, April 22, 2019.

Born in Somerville, NJ and lived in both Piscataway NJ and Red Bank NJ. She was a past president of the Piscataway (NJ) Lions Club International and a member of the Garden Club of Red Bank (NJ). She is a former member of Our Lady Fatima Roman Catholic Church, Piscataway NJ. She retired to Hilton Head Island, SC in 2004 and was a member of the Garden Club on Long Cove Plantation. She was a member of the Hilton Head Island Lions Club International , where she was a Board member. She attended St. Francis Star of the Sea Church where she was involved in the rosary society, Women of St. Francis, an Usher, and a Eucharistic minister. 

Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her husband, Henry D. Allen, Sr., and her daughter, Terrie L. Unkert.

She is survived by her daughter, Leah S. Blum (COL Justin F. Blum), two stepsons, Henry D. Allen Jr (Barbara) and Robert Allen of NJ, three grandchildren, Ryan S.Blum, Adam H. Blum (Christy), and Julianna L. Mims (Zachary), and two great grandchildren, Ethan H. Mims and Emily P. Blum of Florence, SC, a sister, Sherry L. Mayo (Steve) of Bluffton SC, and a brother, Harold Andresen (Bridgett) of Manteo, NC, along with several cousins and nieces. 

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Holy Family Church on Saturday, April 27 at 2:00pm. A viewing will be held at Island Funeral Home on Friday, April 26 from 6-7pm. Internment and a graveside service will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway NJ on Wednesday, May 1 at 11:00am, with arrangements being made by Sheenan Funeral Home, Dunellen NJ.
