Lorraine Smith

Lorraine Smith, 75, of New Bern, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 9, 2019.

Lorraine was born on July 3, 1943 to Louis and Laura Motto in Jersey City, NJ. She spent 25 years serving in Middlesex Borough Municipal Court in NJ. Lorraine was a longtime parishioner at St. Paul Catholic Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Louis, Vinnie, and Nick Motto; and her husband, Geoffrey Sullivan Sr.

Lorraine is survived by her husband, Bernie Smith; children, Maureen Sullivan, Patrick Sullivan (Leslie), and Geoffrey Sullivan Jr. (Jennifer); four grandchildren, Laura Rivera, Kayla Sullivan, Alison Sullivan, and Megan Sullivan; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and her special niece, Susan McCabe (Kevin).

The family will receive family and friends from 5 PM - 7 PM on Thursday September 26th at Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen NJ 08812.
Lorraine will be laid to rest with family by her side, on Friday September 27th at 11:00 am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery
