Julio Acevedo

Julio Acevedo, 61 of Green Brook, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018 at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in the Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Jose and Ramona (Mejia) Acevedo.

Mr. Acevedo was self employed, owning 2 clothing stores, one in The Bronx, NY and another in NJ. Julio was a very creative man who loved to plant, and build and repair things. He was an avid baseball fan who loved the Yankees. He loved to travel, go to auctions and had an appreciation for vintage cars. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his loving daughters, Jacqueline Acevedo of Plainfield, NJ; Zully Acevedo of Mesa, AZ and his son Julio Acevedo, Jr. he is also survived by his sister, Rosa Hernandez Santiago.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday February 18 from 3:00-4:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. All other services are private.
