Joseph N Zullo

Joseph (Joe) Zullo, 89 of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 27 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in Carteret, he was the son of the late Neil and Ann (Abate) Zullo.

Joe served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict and was twice awarded the Bronze Star for valor.  He enjoyed going to the casino, and going out to eat with family and friends. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart.   People fondly remember him as a boisterous, stand-up guy who always wanted to pick up the check. 

Joe was predeceased by his wife Virginia and his son Joseph.  He is survived by his daughters Lisa, Patricia, Kelly and Ann, his son Stephen, and his grandchildren Kurt, David, Sarah and RJ.

Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, December 4 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, December 5 at 10:00am at St. John’s Catholic Church in Dunellen . Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Woodbridge.
