John T Tisdale

John T Tisdale, 60, of Ocean Grove, NJ, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday February 25, 2019 in his home.  Born in Washington D.C, and spending many of his earlier years in North Plainfield, John is the son of John G and Anneliese (Burger) Tisdale.  
John was a brilliant student and  graduated as a  former Canuck from North Plainfield High School, followed by his degree from Virginia Tech.  Here he was president of  his fraternity, Sigma Nu.  He then obtained his master's degree from William and Mary. John worked for Yorktel in Eatontown NJ, as well as Jack Green Realty in Ocean Grove.   John always had a love for learning and  a passion helping others. John  was the kindest and most gentle soul who thrived on assisting others,  often opening  his home  to complete strangers, helping them get back on their feet.  His passion for his pets was seen throughout the streets of Ocean Grove with former dog Jason and now his current dog  Shiloh and his cat Maggie and his three turtles.   
He is predeceased by his father, John G Tisdale and will truly be missed tremendously  by his mother Anneliese Tisdale and 6 siblings and inlaws ,  including: Lisa and Juergen Czok, Mary and David Hopkins, Peter and Kimberly Tisdale, Kristina and James Golden, Thomas Tisdale, and Patricia and Melvin Clark. as well as his 16 nieces and nephew and one great nephew. 
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday March 2 at 10:00 am at Saint Lukes Roman Catholic Church in North Plainfield. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's Tisdale's name to The Earl Gregg Swem Library -Richard Cornish Endowment Fund at the College of William and Mary.
