Jack S. Cuccia

Jack Salvatore Cuccia, 85, of Columbus, passed away on Friday; November 2nd, 2018 at his home with his loving family by his side. Born in New York City, he is the son of the late Rose (Valenti) and Anthony Cuccia.

Jack lived in Piscataway for many years before moving to Columbus in 2004. Jack faithfully served our country in the United States Navy. He was an electrician and worked for New Brunswick Scientific in Edison before his retirement in 1998.  He loved to play softball, go bowling, or fish. Jack enjoyed singing, dancing and being involved with his church and their activities. He was a member of the American Legion Post #0039. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jack is predeceased by his 1st wife, Rosalie Giammanco Cuccia, his 2nd wife,Ella Mae Cuccia, his son, James Marecki and 7 siblings. He is survived by his 3 children; Rosalie Pizzaia and husband Gene of Jackson, Peggy Maxted and husband Larry of Hamilton, and Tom Marecki and wife Lina of Moorestown, Grandchildren; Danielle Frady and husband David, Adam Pizzaia and wife Gabriella, Brandon Pizzaia, Victoria Pizzaia and Melissa Marecki, Great-Grandchild, Aaron Frady, 2 sisters; Pauline Van Ness and Vivian Santoro and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and wonderful friends.

There will be a visitation on Tuesday; November 6th from 4-8PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a funeral mass on Wednesday; November 7th at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Piscataway. Cremation will be private. Burial of cremains will be held at a later time.  In Lieu of flowers, donations in Jack’s name can be made to Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice at Samaritannj.org & Stand Up To Cancer at Standuptocancer.org.
