Helen V (Brown) Waldron

Helen V Waldron, 85, of Bridgewater, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday June 28, 2018 at RWJ Hospital in Somerville. Born in Plainfield, she was the daughter of the late Harold Brown and Faith Mitchell.  She was a resident of Sunset Lake in Bridgewater for 50 years.

Helen was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  Helen was born in Plainfield and attended Plainfield High School.  She held several positions during her 23-year professional career at UMDNJ in Piscataway, retiring from her final position as a Transcription Supervisor.  She gave of herself by volunteering as a Cub Scout den mother, a member of the Martinsville Rescue squad, a master gardener with the Rutgers Cooperative, an activity planner in the Sunset Lake community, and an active member of the Princeton Singles. 
Helen had a great love for animals, rescuing and caring for many dogs/cats over the years.  She found enjoyment in sharing her many interests with others, interests that included classical music, gardening, biking, sewing, knitting, dance, and cooking.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Timothy J. Waldron (wife Sheri), Michele A. Waldron (Gratalo), James V. Waldron, Jr., and Calla A. Waldron-Buck (Husband Brady), her grandchildren Kalee Waldron, Madison Gratalo and Colin Waldron, her sister Joyce Kelly and half brother Robert Herman (wife Dottie).

Friends may visit the family on Thursday, July 5 from 4:00-7:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held at 6:30pm. Cremation will be held privately.
To celebrate Helen's love of gardening, in lieu of flowers, you may send replantable arrangements that her family will plant to honor her legacy. Or direct donations to the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter would be greatly appreciated.
