Gary Edward Lavish, 63, of South Plainfield, passed away on Friday; April 27th, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick. Born to the late Edith (Bunn) and William Lavish, Gary was a lifelong resident of South Plainfield.
Gary worked for Trans American Trucking Service in South Plainfield for 32 years. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast. Gary loved to fish and to be outside gardening. He was a lover of animals and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Denise (Lessard) Lavish of South Plainfield, 6 siblings; Brother, William Lavish and wife Mary of Ringoes, Sister, Nancy Mason and husband Larry of Manchester, Sister, Ann Marie Hess and husband Raymond of New York, Sister, Joanne Jepsen and husband John of Oxford, Brother, Bruce Lavish and wife Andrea of South Plainfield, and Sister, Barbara Tallman and husband Stuart of Howell. Gary is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and his beloved Husky Mishka.
There will be a visitation on Tuesday; May 1st, 2018 from 3-7PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. A Funeral service will take place on Wednesday; May 2nd, 2018 at 10:30AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gary’s name to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, 575 Woodland Ave, Madison, NJ 07940.
