Esolda (Iannetta) Scudiero

Esolda Scudiero, 92 of Dunellen, passed away peacefully at RWJUH in Somerville, on Tuesday, November 20 with her loving family by her side. Born in Rionero de Vulturo, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Donato and Rosa (Cardone) Iannetta.

  Esolda was a member of St.John Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen and thier rosary group also member of Senior Citizens of Dunellen. Her favorite pass time was cooking her delicious Italian food especially her lasagnas for the family gatherings. Whenever a grandchild and great-grandchild was born they would receive a hand make knitted blanket with the alphabet embroidered.  On Halloween she would sew costumes for her children and grand children. Her biggest pleasure was seeing here family and celebrating the many milestones of her children and grandchildren.

 Esolda is predeceased by her husband Michael Scudiero.  She is surived by her sister Angelina Cilenti   Her children Rosa Lazinger spouse Zeff, John Scudiero,Danny Scudiero spouse Grace,Maria Stella Hauch spouse Carl and Bobby spouse Suzanne  nine grandchildren Jacob,Heather,Michael,Samantha,Nicky,Julia, Isabella,Dylan and Cassandra, five great-grandchildren Jema,Jade,June,Emma,and Jaxon.

Friends may visit the family on Sunday, November 25 from 2-4 and from 7-9 and on Monday, November 26 from 9-11am at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 25 at 11am at St John The Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
