Edward S. Wapinski

Edward S. Wapinski, 84, passed away peacefully on Thursday; March 22nd, 2018 with his loving family by his side. Born in Elizabeth, he was the son of the late Stanley and Victoria Wapinski.

Edward worked for Piscataway Township and Walworth Steel for many years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway.  He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Dunellen, the VFW, American Legion, Rotary Club, and the Committee of Democrats in Piscataway. He was an avid golfer, and loved to spend time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Edward is predeceased by his daughter, Lisa Kartelias and son, Edward Wapinski. Surviving is his loving wife, Joanne (Grodzki), 3 daughters; Linda Shannon of Martinsville, Laura Riello and husband Matthew of Pittstown, and Beth Nook and husband Jeffrey of New Providence, and 9 Grandchildren; Paul Katelias, Bianca Riello, Vincent Riello, Sidney Shannon, Alyssa Nook, Anthony Riello, Jake Shannon, Scott Nook, and Andrew Nook.

There will be a visitation on Sunday; March 25th from 4-7PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday; March 26th at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Piscataway. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.
