Dorothy Sack, 97, a 67 year resident of Piscataway, died Sept. 12, 2017 at her home with her loving daughter by her side. She was born in Brooklyn and had lived previously in Watchung, Plainfield, and No. Plainfield. Dorothy, who was an avid bowler, worked in the insurance and banking business in New York, then worked for Johnson & Johnson in New Brunswick as an executive secretary before retiring many years ago. She also was a secretary for Young’s Drugs in Piscataway and served as secretary for the Traveling Seniors in No. Plainfield. She served as President of the Arbor Rescue Squad Auxillary, was a member of the Piscataway Seniors and the New Market Women’s Club. She was also a communicant of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in No. Plainfield.
Her husband Michael died in 2006.
Surviving is her loving daughter Katherine de Graffenried and husband Christopher, of Mahopac, NY, 2 grandchildren Christopher Jr. and wife Laura, Samantha Ann, and 2 great grandchildren Alexandra and Charlotte.
Visiting will be Thursday September 14 from 2:00-4:00 and from 7:00-9:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a funeral service on Friday, September 15 at 10:00 AM at St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 3145 Park Ave., South Plainfield, with interment following at Saints Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Cemetery in South River.
