Charles James Lehmann, 88, passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Overlook Hospital in Summit with his devoted family by his side. Charles grew up in Irvington, resided in Green Brook for over forty years. He was the son of the late Charles and Florine (Beatty) Lehmann, and brother of Robert and Mercedes.
After graduating from Seton Hall University with a degree in Economics, he entered the United States Marine Corps, and upon discharge started a 43-year career in the electronics components industry, holding sales and marketing management positions with: RCS Semiconductor Division, ITT Semiconductor and Jennings Divisions. It was during this period that he earned his MBA in Management and Marketing from Fairleigh Dickinson and Rutgers Universities. He continued his career with General Instrument Corporation and North American Phillips before retiring as Vice President of Electronic Measurements Incorporated.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of 51 years Barbara who passed in 2008. He is survived by his four caring children: Charles, and his partner Karen; Joseph, and his wife Teresa; Barbara, and Ann. He also leaves behind his nine grandchildren: Charles, and his wife Cindy; Marybeth, and her husband Chris; Jamie and her husband Kevin; Joseph, Marissa, Haylie, Katrina; Michael and his wife Danielle; Rachael and her husband Juan. Charles also had 2 great-grandchildren, Charles and Alexis. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday, January 23 from 9:00-11:30am at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. Burial will follow with a committal service at Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook.
