Alice Bandelt McLaughlin, 62, of Middlesex, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side on Saturday; December 15th, 2018. A woman of faith and love, she was born in Brooklyn, New York, the daughter of the late Mary and John Martin.
Alice worked as a Parish Operations Manager at the Holy Family Parish in New Brunswick where she touched the lives of many in the community. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert McLaughlin of Middlesex, daughter, Emily Basenfelder and husband Thomas of Barnegat; son, Dr. Matthew Bandelt and wife Emily of Ridgewood; grandchildren Bella Mary Bandelt and Joshua Joseph Bandelt; sisters Dr. Mary Ellen Martin of Philadelphia, Joan Martin of Brooklyn, and Nancy Martin Brady of Staten Island, many loving nieces and nephews, as well as a large extended family. She is predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Bandelt and dearest brother Robert Martin.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday; December 19th, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church, Middlesex on Thursday; December 20th, at 10AM. Internment to follow at Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, donations in Alice’s name may be made to St. Vincent De Paul at Holy Family Parish, 56 Throop Avenue, New Brunswick, NJ 08901.
