Shirley A. Utts

Shirley A. Utts, died Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, PA

She was 89 years old.

Shirley was born in Perth Amboy, N.J. She lived in Piscataway for most of her life.

She was a secretary for several years with the Piscataway Township Public School system before her retirement. Shirley is a member of Centenary United Methodist Church in Metuchen. She is a former secretary of Our Lady of Fatima Senior citizens. Shirley enjoyed traveling, reading, working on puzzles and spending time with her family.

Shirley is predeceased by her husband Paul Utts in 1995; her parents, Frank and Carrie (Schillingburg) Jones; her grandson Matthew Ochs; three brothers – Frank, Robert and Jim Jones; a sister, Eula Grapes. She is survived by her three daughters - Susan Ochs and her husband Peter of Waxhaw, NC; Diane Evanowski and her husband Joe of Riegelsville, PA; Jennifer Laustsen and her husband Al of Frenchtown, N.J. Grandchildren, Bryan Ochs and his wife Anacel, Rachel Weachock and her husband Mike, Thomas Evanowski and his wife Sarah, Sarah Sandeford and her husband Jim, Shane Laustsen and Tyler Laustsen. Two great grandchildren Brayden Ochs and Paisley Baker. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, New Jersey 08812.  Interment will be private.
