Kenneth Roy Schwarz

Kenneth Roy Schwarz, died Monday, February 19, 2024. At Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Somerset, N.J. He was 88 years old.

Kenneth was born in Middlesex, N.J. He was raised in Dunellen, lived in Bound Brook before moving to Piscataway in 1966.

After high school he was a printer for Art Color Printing Factory, Dunellen until it closed in 1968. He then worked for Alco Gravure Printing Company, Hoboken. Kenneth retired in 1999 from Ferris Brothers Nursery and Florist Suppliers of Middlesex. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Dunellen since 1974. He enjoyed trips with his family to Disney World and gardening. He started decorating for Christmas in October and would often recite his motto, “You can never have too many greens”.

Kenneth is predeceased by his parents, William Edward and Elsie Elizabeth (Menny) Schwarz; sisters, Marie D. Demarest, Hermina J. Gibney, Edna I McCoy, Gertrude Hayes, Mildred Durick; brothers, William Schwarz and George Schwarz, Charles E. Schwarz. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Arian Jean (Ferris) Schwarz; 2 daughters – Lynn Louise Buchala and her husband Robert of Flemington; Arian Joy DiCanto and her husband John of Middlesex; 2 sons – Thomas W. Schwarz and his wife Pamela of Tremont, PA; Peter R. Schwarz of Piscataway; sister-in-law, Nancy Schwarz. 10 grandchildren – Megan Carducci (Daniel), Amy Heinz (Andrew), Brianna DiCanto, Samantha Ryan (Nicholas), Noel DiCanto, Mary DiCanto, Thomas W. Schwarz, Jr., Benjamin C. Schwarz, Allison K. Schwarz and Carley E. Schwarz. 4 great grandchildren - Joey, Lucy Carducci, Adalynn Ryan and Eleanor Heinz.

Visitation will be Monday, February 26, 2024 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Avenue, Dunellen, New Jersey 08812. Funeral service will follow in the First Presbyterian Church of Dunellen. Interment will be in Lake Nelson Memorial Park, Piscataway.
