Theresa A Desposito, 54, of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Wednesday October 11, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Gennaro and Eleanor (Gallagher) Mazza.

Terie received her BS in Psychology, then became an RN, working first at Staten Island University Hospital, and later at NRI in Manhattan. She had a love of cooking, especially Asian food, and was never afraid to try something new, and usually succeeded in making it perfectly. She was an avid reader, with her tastes as eclectic as her choices in food. Terie loved to explore on the internet, always looking for the next thing to draw her interest. Her greatest joy, however, came from her family, and keeping a loving and happy home. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Terie is survived by her beloved husband Joseph, and by her adored children, sons Gennaro and wife Kimberly of Dunellen; and Michael of Dunellen; by her cherished grandson Genaro. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Geralyn Mazza, Lauren Mazza Alfano and Valerie McAllen as well as by many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 15, from 2:00-5:00pm and from 7:00-9:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 16 at 10:00am at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen. Entombment will follow at Resurrection Mausoleum in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Terie’s name to the American Kidney Fund at www.Kidneyfund.org
