Stewart W. Cummings

Stewart W. Cummings, 91, of Bridgewater, died Sunday March 12, 2017 at Green Knoll Nursing Home in Bridgewater. He was a former resident of Hackettstown.  Stewart worked as a truck driver and later as a dispatcher for Dameo’s-Brockway Trucking Co. in Finderne before retiring many years ago.  Stewart served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during both WWII and the Korean War. When living in Hackettstown, he was a member of the Elks, where he was an Exalted Ruler the VFW and the Moose. He also served as a volunteer fireman for Finderne and Long Valley.

Stewart was predeceased by his parents William and Emma and a grandson Nicholas Oliver.

Surviving are three daughters, Billie Klemser and her companion John Sparling of Dunellen, Kathleen Crowley Coleman and spouse Hampton, of Myrtle Beach, SC. , Renee Oliver of Hackettstown, grandchildren Raquel, Robert, Kimberly, Trish, Casey, great grandchildren Richard, Brandon, Robby, Maggie, Sarah, and Samantha and several great great grandchildren.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 19 from 2:00-3:00 pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen.
