Robert C Boyer

Robert C Boyer, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday February 1, 2016 at his home in Dunellen with his loving family by his side. Born in Ashland, PA, he was the son of the late Clayton and Elsie (Korn) Boyer.

Robert served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. Upon completion of his service, he worked as a foreman for American Water Co. before retiring several years ago. He had many interests but he loved spending time with his family more than anything. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Boyer was predeceased by his loving wife Elizabeth in 2006. He is survived by his 3 children, son Robert L Boyer of Dunellen, his daughters, Kimberly Turner and husband William of Dunellen, and Gina Drake and husband William of Dunellen. He’s also survived by his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Johnson and Doris Hellwig as well as by many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday February 3 from 2:00-8:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held on Thursday February 4 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
