Paul R Berenyi, Jr, 65, of Edison, NJ, passed away on Saturday February 24, 2018 at Kindred Hospital, part of RWJ Hospital Rahway with his loving family by his side. Born in South Amboy, NJ, he was the only child of Paul and Monica (Murtha) Berenyi.
After graduation from Metuchen High School, Paul served his country honorably in the United States Army. He then went on to work for the United States Postal Service, working mainly from the Kilmer Rd. facility in Edison until his retirement a few years ago. Paul loved his trips to Atlantic City, especially playing the slots, craps and roulette. He was also a “News Junky”, he enjoyed spending his time watching news programs on TV. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (Carabillo) Berenyi, as well as by relatives and close friends.
Friends my visit the family on Wednesday, February 28 from 5:00-8:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 1 at 9:30am at St. Matthew the Apostle Catholic Church in Edison. Burial will follow at Brig Gen William C Doyle Cemetery in Wrightstown. The family respectfully requests that no flowers be sent. Instead make a donation to the American Lung Association, Disabled Veterans, Alzheimer’s Association or your favorite charity in Paul’s name.
