Patricia H (Namovitz) Lorenc

April 21, 1945 ~ January 3, 2018 (age 72) 72 Years Old

Patricia H Lorenc, 72, of Piscataway, passed away unexpectedly at RWJUH in New Brunswick on Wednesday, January 3, 2018. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Helen (Jagiello) Namovitz.

Pat married Stan in 1964. It was a love affair that would last for more than 53 years. They lived in Irvington, before moving to Piscataway in 1968. It was there that they raised their 5 children. She and Stan were communicants of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Piscataway. Stan became a Deacon and Pat served on the parish council. She would become an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist in 1976, and bring communion to the homebound. She would go on to be a member of the Rosary Altar Society, Adoration Coordinator, and editor of the parish newsletter. Pat also taught CCD for the confirmation program, and was in charge of the Confirmandi and their service projects, going to nursing homes and collecting food for FISH for 10 years. She was also a certified massage therapist for 10 years and considered it her vocation. Pat’s greatest joy came from raising her family and keeping a happy and loving home. In later years that was expanded to her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pat is survived by her beloved husband Stan; her 5 loving children; son David and wife Kim of Asbury, NJ, daughter Deborah McGlynn and husband Daniel of Hopelawn, NJ, son Matthew and wife Jennifer of Piscataway, son Bryan of Bridgewater, and son Paul and wife Jany of Piscataway. She is also survived by her 6 cherished grandchildren: Erin and Megan McGlynn; Benjamin, Jacob, Julia and Katherine Lorenc. She is also survived by her sister Barbara Schneider of Manchester NJ, and her brother Matthew Namovitz of North Arlington, NJ as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.
