Marion (Notten) Burke

Marion Burke, 88 of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on Thursday August 11 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Bogota, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred (Pike) Notten.

Marion was a member of the Green Knoll Ladies Auxiliary. In 1949 she met Charles Burke on a beach. In 1950, they began a married life together that would last for 66 years. They enjoyed travelling to Hawaii, Aruba and the Cayman Islands. It was a simple life, but one they wouldn’t have traded for anything. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Marion is survived by her beloved husband Charles. She is also survived by her loving daughter, Beverley Hartman and her husband Dennis of Flemington, NJ, she is also survived by her loving son Chuck and his girlfriend Mary. Marion is survived by her cherished grandson Jesse Hartman and his wife Kelly of Whitehouse Station, NJ. She is also survived by her sisters, Laine McLarney and Babe Baechtold, as well as by her brother in law Robert and Gloria Burke of Green Brook.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 14 from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 7:00-9:00 PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. All other arrangements are private.
