Malvina “May” Kupper, 102, of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Saturday February 4, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Konstantin and Olga (Ignatowicz) Lushko.
May worked for many years as a housekeeper for the priests at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Piscataway. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Dunellen where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Rosary Society. Her greatest joy came from the love of her family. May lived a long and happy life, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
May was predeceased by her beloved husband Theodore on June 9, 1969 and by her daughter, Sister Gretchen Hermanny, MD. She is survived by her loving children, daughters Malvina Serrano of Alpha, Margaret Mullen of Dunellen, Marilyn Binns and husband Russell of Toms River, and son Theodore Kupper of Henniker, NH. May is also survived by her 12 cherished Grandchildren and 17 Great-Grandchildren, as well as by her brother Constantin Lushko of Martinsville and by her sister Harriet Granski of Bridgewater.
A viewing will be held on Friday, February 10 from 2:00-4:00 and from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 11 at 10:00 am at St. John the Evangelist Church in Dunellen. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
