John T. Smith

John T. Smith, 95, of Middlesex, died peacefully Aug. 28, 2017 at Bridgeway Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsborough. He was born in Bayonne and had lived in Piscataway before moving to Middlesex 20 years ago.  Mr. Smith was a draftsman for Lockheed in Watchung for 30 years before retiring 20 years ago.  After his retirement , he worked for Tiny Tots in Green Brook. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus , a communicant of Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex and the Holy Name Society.

Surviving are two daughters Janice Roman & her significant other Tony Carrasquillo of Middlesex, Debra Smith and her significant other Jerry Erickson of Somerville, a son Jeffrey and his significant other Donna Alda of Millstone Township, a sister Ann Bird of Ewing, 5 grandchildren, Melanie White and husband Joe, Jason Roman and wife Emira, Kaitlyn Smith, Kristen Sacciponti and husband Frank, Christopher Smith and wife Michelle, and 8 great grandchildren, Thomas, Lila, Kelsey, Madison, Mason, Myles, Charlotte and Stella.

Friends and family are invited to attend an 11AM Mass of Christian Burial on Fri.  Sept. 1,  at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex. There are no calling hours and cremation will be private. The Sheenan Funeral Home in Dunellen is in  charge of arrangements.
