Jean E Velard Obituary

Jean E Velard, 91, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, April 10 at Overlook Hospital in Summit, with her loving family by her side. Born in Newark, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Brown) Stewart.

Jean worked as a housekeeper for many years. She was a caretaker and giver by nature, always putting the needs of others first. Jean loved to cook for the 3 generations that she cared for. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her son Robert Anger of Springfield, and by her daughter Bernarda Zazzara and husband Joseph of South Plainfield. She is also survived by her granddaughters; Gina Marie Brito and husband Peter of Dunellen, and Anna Marie Hadam of East Amwell, NJ and by her cherished 6 great-grandchildren: Antonio, Hunter, Vincent, Michael, Gina and Heather.

All arrangements are under the direction of the Sheenan Funeral Home and are private.
