George S. Ingram, 70 of Iselin, NJ passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at JFK Hospital in Edison. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Edith (Liggens) Ingram, Sr.
George served his country honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Upon leaving the service, George took the computer skills he learned in the Navy and became a systems analyst for many years with Nabisco, Inc. and later at Merrill Lynch. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
George is survived by his twin daughters, Yuvonda DeSouza and husband Gerald of Piscataway, NJ and Yulanda Gunther and husband Eric of Easton, PA; his son Jemal Ingram of Manhattan. George is also survived by his domestic partner Edith DeSouza; his grandchildren, Eric Gunther, Jr and Savannah Skye Ingram; his brother Sylvester Ingram, Jr and wife Marion of Piscataway and his sister Edyth Friday of The Bronx, NY.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave, Dunellen, NJ 08812, with a service to follow at 6:00pm as well as military honors at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
