Frances O. Franzoso

Frances O. Franzoso, 98, died Dec. 27, 2016 at her home with her loving daughters by her side. She was born in Middlesex as the first born child of Frank and Mary Oliver, and was a lifelong resident of Middlesex. Frances worked as a confidential secretary for PSEG in New Brunswick after graduating from Drake College of Business Secretarial Program, before her retirement in 1954.  She was the widow of Dominic who died in 2005. Fran and Dominic loved traveling with family and friends.  She was also predeceased by her sister Ann Rea and two brothers Ben and Frank Oliver. Family and faith were most important to Fran. She cherished time spent with her grandchildren and was proud of the adults they became. She often referred to her sons-in-law as her sons.

Fran had many talents. She was an accomplished seamstress, watercolorist, and calligrapher. Fran had many lifelong friends and continued to add new friendships even into her nineties. She kept in touch with family and friends living all over the country through calls and cards.

Surviving are two daughters Mary Frances Klein and her husband George of Martinsville, Anne  Frank and husband Stephen of Bridgewater, 2 sisters  Louise Marshall of Middlesex, Betty Santicerma of Fl.,  her sister-in-law Rose Kotch of Manville and dear friend Lorraine Romano of Middlesex, four grandchildren Lauren Klein Todd and Matthew Klein, Andrew and Brian Frank along with many beloved nephews and nieces.  She had the ability to make each one feel special.

The family would also like to acknowledge and thank Maria for the time spent in caring for her.

Visiting will be Fri. 2-6PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 10AM Mass of Christian Burial on Sat. at Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Middlesex where she was a longtime communicant. Interment Resurrection Burial Park, Piscataway. Donations in Fran’s name would be greatly appreciated to the Community Care Hospice, 110 West End Ave., Somerville, NJ  08876
