Eugene William Crowell, 84, of Middlesex, died peacefully Nov. 16, 2016 at Robert Wood Hospital, Somerville, with his loving family by his side. He was born in Queens NY, in Mar. of 1932 to the Late Eugene and Ruby, and had lived in Dunellen before moving to Middlesex many years ago. His wife Jeanette died in 2014. He was also predeceased by a sister Janice DiAlphonso and a brother Raymond.
Eugene was a construction electrician for Local 52, now 164 IBEW in Jersey City for 39 years, retiring when he was 62. He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War era and served aboard several ships. He liked to fish but especially enjoyed playing golf with his friends. He also had been a member of the VFW in Trenton.
Surviving are 2 daughters, Kathleen Crowell of Alpha, Patricia and her husband William Smith of Quakertown, Pa., a son William and his wife Linda of Green Brook, a sister Madeline Murray of Manasquan, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visiting will be Saturday, November 19 from 1:00--4:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. There will be a funeral service on Saturday at 3:30pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
