Elizabeth M "Betty" (Oliver) Santicerma

Elizabeth (Betty) Santicerma, 87, passed peacefully June 15,2017 in FL. Elizabeth was born in Middlesex as the youngest daughter of Frank & Mary Oliver. She moved to North Plainfield after her marriage and had resided there for 65 years before moving to FL in 2014 to live with her son John and his loving family.

Elizabeth was employed by Dr. Jerome Forest, DDS for approximately 15 years as a Certified Dental Assistant. She taught a 1 yr. program for accelerated dental assistants at Union County Technical Institute in preparation for their State Certification. She planned the joint county certification exam and proctored it as well.  She was invited to prepare a syllabus of Dental Assistants for Middlesex County College. She was selected to appear in the 1965 edition of “”Outstanding Young Women of America.” While employed at Ethicon, she was presented with the Innovation Award in 1985 and retired from the Research & Development division shortly thereafter.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her loving husband John (2004) and her daughter Corinne (2012); her brothers Ben & Frank Oliver of Middlesex, sisters Ann Rea of Dunellen and Francis Franzoso of Middlesex. Surviving is her son John Santicerma Jr. & his wife Mary Ann Santicerma of FL; sister Louise Marshall of Middlesex ; five grandchildren, John lll, Brittany, Kellie, Stephen & Melissa with many beloved nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth loved & doted on her grandchildren and took great pride in their accomplishments throughout their formidable years and as young adults. They showered Elizabeth with love and affection bringing a smile to her face that would light up a room.

Visiting will be Fri June 23rd 9:00 am- 11:00 am followed immediately by a funeral service at Resurrection Cemetery 899 E Lincoln Ave, Piscataway Township, NJ 08854   (732) 463-1424
