Dorothy (Clark) Neumany

Dorothy Neumany, 92, of Green Brook, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 17, 2016. Born in Plainfield, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Dorothy Clark (Rector).

Dorothy worked for many years as a payroll analyst for AT&T (Bell Labs) in Murray Hill before retiring some years ago, and was a member of the Bell Labs Pioneers. She had a love for travel, with France being her favorite destination. She also loved tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, tracing her family’s genealogy, and keeping up her scrap books. Dorothy’s greatest joy came from her family and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband Charles in 1970 and by her beloved granddaughter Courtney in 1992. She is survived by her sons, Clark Neumany and wife Michele of NC, Randolph Neumany and wife Cinthia of Dunellen, her cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Derek and Lauren Neumany, and Jessica Brengel and her husband James, as well as by many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 19 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen with a service at 8:30PM. Dorothy’s cremains will be interred at Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains on Saturday, October 22 at 11:00 AM.
