Donald H Raysick, Sr, 68 of Dunellen, passed away peacefully on Saturday May 27, 2017 at Care One Somerset Valley in Bound Brook with his loving family by his side. Born in Plainfield, he was the son of the late Walter and Elvira (Porcella) Raysick, Sr.
After graduating high school, Donald served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked for many years as an exterminator with Humphrey’s Pest Control in Stirling, NJ before retiring a year ago. Donald enjoyed studying entomology. He had a love for the Jersey Shore and watching Seinfeld. Anyone who knew him knew that Donald’s wit and sarcasm could be sharp and to the point. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Besides his parents, Donald is predeceased by his brother Richard in 2015. He is survived by his loving children, his son Donald H Raysick, Jr and wife Shanna of Rahway, NJ, his daughter Jaime Raysick of Middlesex, his former wife Linda Raysick of Middlesex, his cherished grandchildren Donovan and Nathaniel Raysick of Rahway. He is also survived by his brother Walter, his sister Vicki and by many nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday May 31 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held at 8:45pm. All other arrangements are private.
