Charles C Maronna

Charles C Maronna, 83, of Piscataway, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 16, 2016 at the Parker Home at McCarrick Care Center in Somerset, with his loving family by his side. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Lena (LoPrete) Maronna.

After serving his country honorably in the United States Army, Charles was the owner of a book and sundries shop on the Manhattan side of the Staten Island ferry for many years. He loved bowling, dancing playing cards, especially pinochle, and watching westerns. Most of all, he loved being around his family. He will deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Besides his parents, Charles is predeceased by his son, Anthony and by his brother, John. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ferne (Amon). He’s also survived by his son, Charles J and his wife Bonny of Corona, CA, his son Keith C Bunker of Somerville. He is also survived by his grandson, Jeff Eastwood of ID, and his great-grandson Anthony C Eastwood, he’s also survived by his brother Frank Maronna and his wife Doreen and by his sister Teresa Ladner, and his sister in law, Gloria Amon,  as well as by many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 20 from 2:00-4:00 PM and from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave in Dunellen. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 21 at 10:00 AM with burial to follow at Bound Brook Cemetery in Bound Brook.
