Arthur Ross Bayer

Arthur Ross Bayer, 77, of Weeki Wachee, Fl. passed away peacefully Aug. 3, 2016 at Sturgill Care Center Hospice in Brooksville. He was born in Jersey City and had been a lifelong Dunellen resident until his move to Weeki Wachee in 2000.  He served as a police officer with the Dunellen Police Department for 27 years before his retirement as a Lieutenant on Aug. 31, 2000. He also served with the Army National Guard during the early 1960’s.

Arthur served as Vice President and worked in security for the River Run Condo Association in Weeki-Wachee and he did volunteer work as a handyman and grounds keeper for the Hospice House in Brooksville.  He was a member of the PBA and had formerly been a member of various hunting clubs.

Surviving is his wife Judith, 2 daughters Sharon Bayer of Green Brook, Laura Ruskuski and husband John of Dunellen,a son Ken and wife Vickie also of Dunellen, 2 stepsons Kenneth Potts of No. Brunswick, Robert Potts and wife Dana of Bethlehem, Pa., and 8 grandchildren Kenny, Kyle, Alexandra, Christopher, Kelly, Kathryn, Julianna, and Ryan.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial visitation  on Aug. 25, 2016 from 3-7PM at the Sheenan Funeral Home, 233 Dunellen Ave., Dunellen. There will be a 6:45PM memorial service also that evening at the funeral home.
